Our Vision
To be a Gyrotonic® studio that provides professional movement education that feels like play. We serve the fitness newcomer, expert and anyone in between.
Our Mission
Educate and guide people into the 3 dimensional, intelligent and conscious movement their bodies are designed to do. We want to empower them to be at home in their own bodies, continue doing the activities they love, or feel inspired to try something new.
Meet the Owner
Lauren sham
Lauren’s first love was ballet which she began to study at age 6. She taught and choreographed ballet, modern, and jazz for all ages at places such as Blake High School for Performing Arts, Brandon Ballet, Hillsborough Community College, and Sarasota Contemporary Dance. Her 2nd love is Gyrotonic® Method which she has taught since 2016. Lauren implemented the Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® service lines at Healthfit Powered by Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She has experience working with victims of stroke and Parkinsons, people suffering from posture issues, osteoporosis, and joint replacements. She also is ecperienced in working with athletes, dancers and those interested in overall health.
Lauren loves to learn and to teach. She also loves her husband, her 2 kitties, and gardening. It is her goal to use strength and mobility training to help active people with chronic pain improve posture so they can continue doing the activities they love. She provides professional movement education that feels like play.
She holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Dance Performance from Valencia College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of South Florida. She is also Certified as a Gyrotonic® Pre-Trainer, Gyrokinesis® Instructor and Comprehensively Trained Balanced Body® Pilates Instructor.
